West London Ramblers have walks in a range of areas accessible by public transport from London. Our walks usually have a pub or cafe stop for lunch, but with thought given for a picnic spot for people bringing their own lunch.
Our next walks can be found in the box on the left.
Membership of Ramblers is a requirement of taking part, but prospective members are very welcome to try up to three walks before joining.
The West London Group produces a programmes of walks 3 times a year. Walks are from 4 to 12 miles on most Saturdays and Sundays, with some midweek. We also have occasional social events and holidays.
Enjoy walking with West London Ramblers
The group has to stay together, so give some thought to your level of fitness and the walk description before choosing your walk. Look for distance, hills and pace of the walk. West London country walks tend to have a reasonable pace averaging 10 miles at about 2½ miles an hour unless otherwise specified. A guide to walk difficulty can be found here.
If you are booking a Ramblers holiday, mention your membership of West London Ramblers, and we will get some money through the Walking Partnership Scheme.
If you are a Ramblers member and your ‘home group is not West London, then we would welcome you as an Associate Member. There is no charge for this if you elect to join our Associate Member email list. You will receive our thrice-yearly programmes and newsletters, and email updates on changes to the programme, revised train times etc.
Please email our Membership Secretary (details under ‘contacts’) giving your name, email address, home group and your Ramblers membership number. We ask you to rejoin annually so that we can make sure our Associates are still members of Ramblers.
